Abstract
(EN) A method for reducing water consumption in a toilet system comprises adding a water-soluble pellet to the toilet bowl prior to or following use of said toilet for urination, the pellet comprising a colourant and a fragrance for masking the colour and odour of urine residing in the toilet bowl, and preferably also disintegrant and/or an effervescent system that effervesces on contact with water, and refraining from flushing said toilet until after said toilet has been used at least one further time. The use of such water-soluble pellets serves to reduce the perceived need to flush the toilet after every use and drives positive change against wasteful water usage. The pellets are small, for example 8 mm or less in diameter and weigh 0.1 - 0.3 g, and can be stored in a re-sealable, refillable, reusable dispenser for personal or larger scale use. The method also serves to reduce carbon emissions and chemical usage arising from treatment of fresh and waste water.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé pour la réduction de la consommation d'eau dans un système de toilettes, comprenant l'addition d'une pastille soluble dans l'eau à la cuvette de toilettes avant ou après l'utilisation desdites toilettes pour la miction, la pastille comprenant un colorant et un parfum pour le masquage de la couleur et de l'odeur de l'urine se trouvant dans la cuvette de toilettes et de préférence également un délitant et/ou un système effervescent qui entre en effervescence au contact de l'eau, et le fait de ne pas tirer la chasse d'eau desdites toilettes jusqu'à ce que lesdites toilettes aient été utilisées au moins une autre fois. L'utilisation de telles pastilles solubles dans l'eau sert à réduire le besoin perçu de tirer la chasse d'eau des toilettes après chaque utilisation et entraîne un changement positif contre l'utilisation d'eau gaspillée. Les pastilles sont petites, par exemple de diamètre inférieur ou égal à 8 mm, et pèsent 0,1 à 0,3 g, et elles peuvent être stockées dans un distributeur pouvant être refermé hermétiquement, rechargeable et réutilisable pour une utilisation à l'échelle personnelle ou à une plus grande échelle. Le procédé sert également à réduire les émissions de carbone et l'utilisation de produits chimiques découlant du traitement de l'eau fraîche et des eaux usées.
