Abstract
(EN) The present invention discloses a wearable device and methods of monitoring changes in the volume and properties of human interstitial fluid associated with both normal and disease conditions using limb circumference and acceleration. The raw data are transmitted from the wearable device to external devices for storage and evaluation. The data is compared and contrasted with reference information derived for the individual as well as a larger population of individuals and evaluated for wellness and clinical implications. Messages regarding the state of the individual may then be transmitted to concerned parties such as patients, caregivers and medical professionals.
(FR) La présente invention divulgue un dispositif pouvant être porté et des méthodes de surveillance de changements dans le volume et les propriétés d'un liquide interstitiel humain associé à la fois à des états normaux et pathologiques par le biais de la circonférence des membres et de l'accélération. Les données brutes sont transmises du dispositif portable à des dispositifs externes à des fins de stockage et d'évaluation. Les données sont comparées et contrastées avec des informations de référence dérivées de l'individu ainsi qu'une population plus grande d'individus et évaluées pour des implications en termes de bien-être et cliniques. Des messages concernant l'état de l'individu peuvent ensuite être transmis à des parties concernées telles que des patients, des soignants et des professionnels médicaux.
