Abstract
(EN) Provided herein are a method of detecting neurological impairment and a device for testing sensorimotor control to detect neurological impairment. The method includes positioning a head-mounted display on the user's head, the head-mounted display placing the user in a virtual or augmented reality environment; presenting the subject with a software-generated object in the virtual or augmented reality environment; providing instructions directing the user to execute one or more sensorimotor activities relating to the software-generated object within the virtual or augmented reality environment; recording data during execution of the one or more objectives; and determining if there is a neurological impairment based upon the recorded data. The device includes a head-mounted display, one or more processors, and one or more hardware storage devices having stored thereon computer-executable instructions which are executable by the one or more processors to display a virtual immersive environment in the head-mounted display.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de détection d'une déficience neurologique et un dispositif destinés à tester une commande sensorielle pour détecter une déficience neurologique. Le procédé comprend les étapes consistant : à positionner un casque immersif sur la tête de l'utilisateur, le casque immersif introduisant l'utilisateur dans un environnement de réalité virtuelle ou augmentée; à présenter au sujet un objet généré par logiciel dans l'environnement de réalité virtuelle ou augmentée; à fournir des instructions permettant à l'utilisateur d'exécuter une ou plusieurs activités sensorielles relatives à l'objet généré par logiciel dans l'environnement de réalité virtuelle ou augmentée; à enregistrer des données pendant l'exécution d'au moins un objectif; et à déterminer s'il existe une déficience neurologique sur la base des données enregistrées. Le dispositif comprend un casque immersif, au moins un processeur et au moins un dispositif de stockage de matériel sur lesquels sont stockées des instructions exécutables par ordinateur qui sont exécutables par ledit au moins un processeur pour afficher un environnement immersif virtuel dans le casque immersif.
