Abstract
(EN) Provided is an insulated electric wire enabling simple processing involving the removal of an insulating covering despite the conductor having a planar part with a planar cross-section, and a wire harness provided with such an insulated electric wire. This insulated electric wire 1 has a conductor 11 made of a plurality of twisted strands, and an insulating covering 13 that covers the outer periphery of the conductor 11, and has a planar part 20 and a low planar part 30 along the axial direction, wherein each of the strands constituting the conductor 11 and the insulating covering 11 are alternately continuous, the external shape of the conductor 11 in a cross-section orthogonal to a first axial direction x of the insulated electric wire is planar in the planar part 20 and less planar in the low planar part 30 than in the planar part 20, and the adhesive force between the conductor 11 and the insulating covering 13 is smaller in the low planar part 30 than in the planar part 20.
