Abstract
(EN) A drying apparatus for continuous drying of moist materials in superheated steam comprising: - an elongated drying enclosure having an input end and output end; - feed means for feeding intake air and/or intake superheated steam; - discharging means for discharging exhaust air and/or exhaust steam; - n horizontal drying decks arranged in superposed levels, each drying deck comprising means for carrying the moist materials from the input end through the drying enclosure, to be discharged at the output end of the drying apparatus as dried materials; - a feeding device for feeding the moist materials to any one of the n drying decks; - an unloading device for unloading the dried materials of any one of the n drying decks; - one or more drying modules creating one or more drying zones, each drying module comprising a plurality of opposing jet dryer boxes disposed above and below an upper surface of each of the n drying decks wherein each jet dryer box comprises a plurality of spaced orifices therein; wherein n is an integral of at least 1; wherein the drying apparatus further comprises means for generating superheated steam and means for coupling a source of heated air and/or superheated steam to the respective inlets of the jet dryer boxes; and wherein a mixture of air and superheated steam is provided through the plurality of orifices in the jet dryer boxes thereby impinging upon at least the upper and lower major surfaces of the moist materials.
(FR) L'invention concerne un appareil de séchage destiné au séchage en continu de matériaux humides dans de la vapeur surchauffée, comprenant : une enceinte de séchage allongée ayant une extrémité d'entrée et une extrémité de sortie ; des moyens d'alimentation destinés à acheminer de l'air d'entrée et/ou de la vapeur surchauffée d'entrée ; des moyens d'évacuation destinés à évacuer l'air d'échappement et/ou la vapeur d'échappement ; n étages de séchage horizontaux disposés en niveaux superposés, chaque étage de séchage comprenant des moyens servant à transporter les matériaux humides depuis l'extrémité d'entrée à travers l'enceinte de séchage, pour être évacués à l'extrémité de sortie de l'appareil de séchage sous forme de matériaux séchés ; un dispositif d'alimentation destiné à acheminer les matériaux humides vers l'un quelconque des n étages de séchage ; un dispositif de déchargement destiné à décharger les matériaux séchés de l'un quelconque des n étages de séchage ; un ou plusieurs modules de séchage créant une ou plusieurs zones de séchage, chaque module de séchage comprenant une pluralité de boîtes de séchage à jet opposées disposées au-dessus et au-dessous d'une surface supérieure de chacun des n étages de séchage, une pluralité d'orifices espacés étant inclus dans chaque boîte de séchage à jet, n étant un entier au moins égale à 1. L'appareil de séchage comprend en outre des moyens destinés à générer de la vapeur surchauffée et des moyens destinés à coupler une source d'air chauffé et/ou de vapeur surchauffée aux entrées respectives des boîtes de séchage à jet, et un mélange d'air et de vapeur surchauffée est fourni à travers la pluralité d'orifices dans les boîtes de séchage à jet, frappant ainsi au moins les surfaces principales supérieure et inférieure des matériaux humides.
