Abstract
(EN) Powdered collagen compositions and methods for wound care or the dressing or treatment of wounds in a subject in need thereof. The powdered collagen wound care composition includes powdered collagen or collagen-based material substantially covered with a hydrophobic barrier. In at least some instances, the hydrophobic barrier prevents the complete absorption or dissolution of the powdered collage or collagen-based material when placed on or in a wound or body of a subject for at least three (3) days. The powdered collagen wound care compositions are suitable for dressing or packing wounds or post-surgical incisions.
(FR) Compositions de collagène en poudre et procédés destinés au soin de plaies ou au pansement ou au traitement de plaies chez un sujet qui en a besoin. La composition de collagène en poudre destinée au soin de plaies comprend du collagène ou un matériau à base de collagène en poudre sensiblement recouvert d'une barrière hydrophobe. Dans au moins certains cas, la barrière hydrophobe empêche l'absorption ou la dissolution complète du collagène ou du matériau à base de collagène en poudre lorsqu'il est placé sur ou dans une plaie ou le corps d'un sujet pendant au moins trois (3) jours.
