Abstract
(EN) Process for the production of hydrogen from an aqueous solution containing hydrochloric acid in dissociated form, within said aqueous solution there being present at least one electrode composed of a metal alloy containing a plurality of metals with different standard reduction potentials, the process comprising the following steps: reduction to hydrogen of the hydronium ions present in the solution, as a result of a flow of electrons generated in the electrode between pairs of metals, from the lower potential metal to the higher potential metal, and extraction of hydrogen thus obtained from said aqueous solution.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de génération d'hydrogène à partir d'une solution aqueuse contenant de l'acide chlorhydrique sous forme dissociée, dans ladite solution aqueuse, au moins une électrode composée d'un alliage métallique contenant une pluralité de métaux ayant différents potentiels de réduction standard. Le procédé comprend les étapes suivantes : la réduction de l'hydrogène des ions hydronium présents dans la solution, suite à un flux d'électrons générés dans l'électrode entre des paires de métaux, du métal à potentiel inférieur au métal à potentiel supérieur, et l'extraction de l'hydrogène ainsi obtenu à partir de ladite solution aqueuse.
