Abstract
(EN) A monitoring apparatus (30) for a superconducting cable comprises magnetic field probes (60) interspersed with conductors (50) that are part of, or connected to, the superconducting cable. A magnetic field sensor (62) is magnetically coupled to each probe (60) and is configured to produce an output signal depending on the sensed magnetic field. The output signals are analysed to determine the condition of the superconducting cable. The magnetic coupling provides electrical isolation against the voltage of the cable core, and thermal isolation between internal cryogenic temperatures and external ambient temperatures.
(FR) L'invention concerne un appareil de surveillance (30) pour un câble supraconducteur qui comprend des sondes de champ magnétique (60) intercalées avec des conducteurs (50) qui font partie du câble supraconducteur ou qui y sont connectés. Un capteur de champ magnétique (62) est couplé magnétiquement à chaque sonde (60) et est configuré pour produire un signal de sortie en fonction du champ magnétique détecté. Les signaux de sortie sont analysés pour déterminer l'état du câble supraconducteur. Le couplage magnétique assure une isolation électrique contre la tension de l'âme du câble et une isolation thermique entre les températures cryogéniques internes et les températures ambiantes externes.
