Abstract
(EN) The purpose of the present invention is to provide an electromagnetic wave modulation element capable of modulating the phase and angle of a very deep electromagnetic wave. This electromagnetic wave modulation element comprises a liquid layer and an electrode (2). The liquid layer is a layer of an electrophoretic liquid containing fine particles (1b) and a dispersion medium (1a). The number of electrodes (2) is at least two, and the electrodes are configured to be able to generate an electric field inside the liquid layer. The phase or angle of an electromagnetic wave passed through the liquid layer is modulated while the electric field is generated.
