Abstract
(EN) A SHMT inhibitor or MTHFR inhibitor according to the present invention can inhibit the infection of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria without affecting bacterial growth and suppress resistance to various antibiotics and lysostaphin. In addition, the SHMT inhibitor or MTHFR inhibitor remarkably reduces the infection fatality rate of bacteria into hosts and as such, can be expected to be a potential target for multidrug-resistant bacterial strains. Therefore, it is expected that the SHMT or MTHFR inhibitor can not only be readily used for preparing a medicinal product, a cosmetic composition, or a health food, an animal feedstuff, food, or food additive for preventing, alleviating, or treating bacterial infection, but also can find advantageous applications in washing medical vessels and further in suppressing bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics or exhibit toxicity upon treatment with antibiotics.
(FR) Un inhibiteur de SHMT ou un inhibiteur de MTHFR selon la présente invention peut inhiber l'infection par des bactéries gram-positives et gram-négatives sans affecter la croissance bactérienne et supprimer la résistance à divers antibiotiques et à la lysostaphine. De plus, l'inhibiteur de SHMT ou l'inhibiteur de MTHFR réduit remarquablement le taux de mortalité par infection de bactéries dans des hôtes et, en tant que tel, pourrait être une cible potentielle pour des souches bactériennes multirésistantes aux médicaments. Par conséquent, il se pourrait que l'inhibiteur de SHMT ou MTHFR puisse non seulement être facilement utilisé pour préparer un produit médicinal, une composition cosmétique, ou un aliment santé, un aliment pour animaux, un aliment, ou un additif alimentaire pour la prévention, l'atténuation ou le traitement d'une infection bactérienne, mais puisse également trouver des applications avantageuses dans le lavage de récipients médicaux et en outre dans la suppression de bactéries qui sont résistantes aux antibiotiques ou présentent une toxicité lors du traitement avec des antibiotiques.
(KO) 본 발명에 따른 SHMT 억제제 또는 MTHFR 억제제는 박테리아의 생장에는 영향을 미치지 않으면서 그람 양성 및 그람 음성 박테리아에 의한 감염을 억제할 수 있고, 다양한 항생제 및 리소스타핀에 대한 저항성을 억제할 수 있다. 또한, SHMT 억제제 또는 MTHFR 억제제는 숙주로의 박테리아 감염 치사율을 현저히 감소시킴에 따라, SHMT 또는 MTHFR 억제제가 다제내성 균주에 대한 잠재적 타겟이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 따라서, SHMT 또는 MTHFR 억제제를 박테리아 감염의 예방, 개선 또는 치료를 위한 의약품, 화장료 조성물, 건강식품, 동물용 사료, 식품 또는 사료 첨가제 등의 제조에 용이하게 사용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 의료용기의 세척이나 나아가 항생제 내성을 가지거나 항생제 처리 시 독성을 가지는 박테리아의 억제용도로 유용하게 사용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
