Abstract
(EN) A holder according to one non-limiting aspect of the present disclosure includes: a rod-shaped main body extending along a central axis from a first end to a second end; and a first magnetostrictive element. The main body includes: a pocket which is positioned on the first end side, and in which a cutting insert can be mounted; and a hollow portion which is positioned closer to the second end than the pocket, and which extends along the central axis. The first magnetostrictive element is positioned in the hollow portion and extends along the central axis. The pocket has a flat seating surface with which the cutting insert can come into contact. In a cross section perpendicular to the central axis, the first magnetostrictive element has a flat shape in which the width in the direction perpendicular to the seating surface is less than the width in the direction parallel to the seating surface.
(FR) L'invention concerne, selon un mode de réalisation non limitatif, un support comprenant : un corps principal en forme de tige s'étendant le long d'un axe central d'une première extrémité à une seconde extrémité ; et un premier élément magnétostrictif.
