Abstract
(EN) The present invention relates to a system comprising one or more redox flow batteries comprising a stack of several electrochemical cells, said electrochemical cells comprising a cathode compartment and an anode compartment, the cathode compartment being in fluidic communication via a supply circuit with one or more reservoirs of an electrolyte referred to as a catholyte, the anode compartment being in fluidic communication via a supply circuit with one or more reservoirs of an electrolyte referred to as an anolyte, the catholyte, and respectively the anolyte, supply circuit comprising a pump for circulating the catholyte, and respectively the anolyte, from the reservoir to the cathode, and respectively anode, compartments, said system comprising a catholyte drainage pump and an anolyte drainage pump, the catholyte, and respectively the anolyte, drainage pump being subordinated to a detector of the presence of catholyte, and respectively of anolyte, in at least part of said catholyte, and respectively anolyte, supply circuit, the catholyte, and respectively anolyte, supply circuit comprising a device either allowing or not allowing the catholyte, and respectively the anolyte, to be circulated from the catholyte, and respectively the anolyte, tank to the cathode, and respectively the anode, compartments.
