(DE) Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum elektrischen Beheizen eines Abgaskatalysators Es wird ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Aufheizen eines, in einem Abgasstrang (25) einer Verbrennungskraftmaschine (10) angeordneten, eine elektrische Heizeinrichtung (37) aufweisenden Abgaskatalysators (35) angegeben, wobei mit Hilfe einer Luftfördereinrichtung (70) ein Sekundärluft-Massenstrom (SLM) in den Abgastrakt (25) an einer Stelle stromaufwärts des Abgaskatalysators (35) zuführbar ist, und die elektrische Heizeinrichtung (35) zeitlich vor dem Start der Verbrennungskraftmaschine (10) aktiviert wird. Die Temperatur des Abgaskatalysators (35) wird überwacht und kein Sekundärluft-Massenstrom (SLM) oder ein Sekundärluft-Massenstrom (SLM) mit einer ersten Fördermenge wird in den Abgastrakt (25) zugeführt, bis die Katalysatortemperatur (KT) einen vorgestimmten ersten Schwellenwert (SW1) erreicht hat und nachdem die Katalysatortemperatur (KT) den vorbestimmten ersten Schwellenwert (SW1) erreicht hat wird der Sekundärluft-Massenstrom (SLM) mit einer zweiten Fördermenge in den Abgastrakt (25) zugeführt, die größer ist als die erste Fördermenge.
