Abstract
(EN) In the event of a collision with other vehicles or road objects and possible resulting fires, but also for pedestrian protection, cushions with foam or fire-fighting powder are attached to the underside of car engine hoods. Their compressed air capsules or pyrotechnics are triggered in the event of an accident like airbags and protect the underlying engines and batteries with a fire protection cloud. They first bulge the cushions and the hood and dissipate the impact energy of pedestrians and cyclists in the impact area from their heads and shoulders by discharging it. They also reduce the engine noise.
(FR) La présente invention concerne, en cas de collision avec d'autres véhicules ou d'objets routiers et d'éventuels incendies résultants, mais également pour la protection des piétons, des coussins avec de la mousse ou de la poudre de lutte contre l'incendie fixés à la face inférieure des capots de moteur de voiture. Leurs capsules d'air comprimé ou pyrotechniques sont déclenchées en cas d'accident comme des coussins gonflables et protègent les moteurs sous-jacents et les batteries avec un nuage de protection contre les incendies. Elles gonflent tout d'abord les coussins et le capot et dissipent l'énergie d'impact des piétons et des cyclistes dans la zone d'impact de leurs têtes et des épaules en les déchargeant. Ils réduisent également le bruit du moteur.
