Abstract
(EN) A device for decoding encoded point cloud data can be configured to, for a point of a point cloud, determine a first color value for a first color component based on a first predicted value and a first residual value; apply a scaling factor to the first residual value to determine a predicted second residual value, wherein the scaling factor has one or both of a non-integer value or an absolute value greater than one; for the point of the point cloud, receive a second residual value in the encoded point cloud data; determine a final second residual value based on the predicted second residual value and the received second residual value; and for the point of the point cloud, determine a second color value for a second color component based on a second predicted value and the final second residual value.
(FR) Un dispositif de décodage de données de nuage de points codés peut être configuré pour, pour un point d'un nuage de points, déterminer une première valeur de couleur pour un premier composant chromatique sur la base d'une première valeur prédite et d'une première valeur résiduelle ; appliquer un facteur de mise à l'échelle à la première valeur résiduelle pour déterminer une seconde valeur résiduelle prédite, le facteur de mise à l'échelle ayant une valeur non entière et/ou une valeur absolue supérieures à un ; pour le point du nuage de points, recevoir une seconde valeur résiduelle dans les données de nuage de points codés ; déterminer une seconde valeur résiduelle finale sur la base de la seconde valeur résiduelle prédite et de la seconde valeur résiduelle reçue ; et pour le point du nuage de points, déterminer une seconde valeur de couleur pour un second composant chromatique sur la base d'une seconde valeur prédite et de la seconde valeur résiduelle finale.
