Abstract
(EN) A medical device with closed-loop responsive stimulation may include techniques to mitigate the impact on the therapy output of noise coupled into the medical device. A medical device according to this disclosure may determine the presence of noise and alter the closed loop policy to provide the necessary therapy to the patient and avoid prolonged under stimulation caused by the noise. The medical device may continue therapy, while testing for noise. When the device determines the noise level no longer affects the output therapy, the device may return the closed loop policy to a no-noise mode of operation. The medical device may also include techniques to mitigate the impact of manual adjustment while the medical device is subject to noise or is responding to changes in the patient's physiological signals.
(FR) Un dispositif médical à stimulation réactive en boucle fermée peut intégrer des techniques destinées à atténuer l'impact sur l'effet thérapeutique du bruit couplé dans le dispositif médical. Un dispositif médical selon la présente divulgation peut déterminer la présence de bruit et modifier la politique de boucle fermée pour procurer la thérapie nécessaire au patient et éviter une sous-stimulation prolongée due au bruit. Le dispositif médical peut continuer la thérapie, tout en testant le bruit. Lorsque le dispositif détermine que le niveau de bruit n'affecte plus la thérapie appliquée, le dispositif peut ramener la politique de boucle fermée à un mode de fonctionnement sans bruit. Le dispositif médical peut également intégrer des techniques destinées à atténuer l'impact d'un réglage manuel pendant que le dispositif médical est soumis à du bruit ou répond à des changements se produisant dans les signaux physiologiques du patient.
