Abstract
(EN) A process for end-capping a dimethylsilanol terminated polydiorganosiloxane with one or more di, tri and/or tetra alkoxysilanes in the presence of a basic end-capping catalyst starting material; and subsequently adding an acidic stabilizing/neutralising agent selected from one or more fatty acids having from 8 to 26 carbons; an alkane sulphonic acid having from 1 to 10 carbons; acidic fumed silica and/or one or more acidic liquid polybutadienes or a mixture thereof. The resulting capped polymeric material may be utilised as a polymer in e.g. an organopolysiloxane elastomer composition.
(FR) Procédé consistant à exécuter un coiffage terminal d'un polydiorganosiloxane à terminaison de diméthylsilanol à l'aide d'un ou de plusieurs di, tri et/ou tétra-alcoxysilanes en présence d'un produit de départ de catalyseur de coiffage terminal basique; et à ultérieurement ajouter un agent de stabilisation/neutralisation d'acide choisi parmi un ou plusieurs acides gras comprenant de 8 à 26 atomes de carbone; un acide sulfonique alcane comprenant de 1 à 10 atomes de carbone; de la silice pyrogénée acide et/ou un ou plusieurs polybutadiènes liquides acides, ou un mélange associé. Le matériau polymère coiffé obtenu peut être utilisé en tant que polymère dans, p. ex., une composition élastomère d'organopolysiloxane.
