Abstract
(EN) A method of coupling polymeric components (101a, 101b) utilizing electromagnetic energy is disclosed. The method can include obtaining a first component (101a) having a first coupling portion (110a), a second component (101b) having a second coupling portion (110b), and a susceptor (120a). The method can also include mating the first and second components (101a, 101b) such that the susceptor (120a) is proximate the first and second coupling portions (110a, 110b). In addition, the method can include applying electromagnetic energy to the susceptor (120a). The susceptor (120a) can convert the electromagnetic energy to heat, which can melt portions of the first and second coupling portions (110a, 110b) about the susceptor (120a) to couple the first and second components (101a, 101b) to one another upon solidification.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé d'accouplement de composants polymères (101a, 101b) à l'aide d'énergie électromagnétique. Le procédé peut comprendre l'obtention d'un premier composant (101a) présentant une première partie d'accouplement (110a), un deuxième composant (101b) présentant une deuxième partie d'accouplement (110b) et un suscepteur (120a). Le procédé peut également comprendre l'accouplement du premier et du deuxième composant (101a, 101b) de sorte que le suscepteur (120a) se trouve à proximité de la première et de la deuxième partie d'accouplement (110a, 110b).
