Abstract
(EN) An engine unit controller (EUC) in connection with a hybrid opposed piston engine can receive real-time movement data of a crankshaft via a crank position sensor. It can simultaneously receive current data of an electric motor that partially controls the crankshaft. With the known engine constants, the EUC can determine instantaneous combustion pressure data based on the movement data and the current data. Such combustion pressure data can be used to optimize the engine's performance in real-time.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif de commande d'unité de moteur (EUC) en connexion avec un moteur hybride à pistons opposés pouvant recevoir des données de mouvement en temps réel d'un vilebrequin par le biais d'un capteur de position de vilebrequin. Ce dernier peut simultanément recevoir des données de courant d'un moteur électrique qui commandent partiellement le vilebrequin. Avec les constantes de moteur connues, l'EUC peut déterminer des données de pression de combustion instantanée sur la base des données de mouvement et des données de courant. De telles données de pression de combustion peuvent être utilisées pour optimiser la performance du moteur en temps réel.
