Abstract
(EN) A cooling system for a cold spray nozzle or a thermal spray barrel and a fabrication method thereof are provided. The cooling system includes a sleeve with cooling fins that encapsulate a spray nozzle or barrel to enable heat transfer from the nozzle or barrel to the fins and then to the external ambient environment. The sleeve may optionally include one or more channels with cooling tubes to enable enhanced cooling with a cooling medium flowing through the tubes and across the fins.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de refroidissement pour une buse de pulvérisation à froid ou un cylindre de pulvérisation thermique et un procédé de fabrication de celui-ci. Le système de refroidissement comprend un manchon ayant des ailettes de refroidissement qui encapsulent une buse ou un cylindre de pulvérisation pour permettre un transfert de chaleur de la buse ou du cylindre aux ailettes, puis vers l'environnement ambiant externe. Le manchon peut facultativement comprendre un ou plusieurs canaux ayant des tubes de refroidissement pour permettre un refroidissement amélioré avec un milieu de refroidissement circulant à travers les tubes et sur les ailettes.
