Abstract
(EN) Compositions and methods for a semicrystalline poly(aryl ether ketone) copolymers incorporating 2-benzimidazolinone and 4,4' -biphenol as comonomer units with 4,4'-dihalobenzophenone, and compositions and methods for semicrystalline poly(aryl ether ketone) copolymers incorporating 2-benzimidazolinone and 4,4'-biphenol as comonomer units with 1,4-bis(4-dihalobenzoyl)benzene are described herein. The Copolymers have advantageous properties, particularly in terms of high glass transition temperatures (Tg), high melting temperatures (Tm), crystallinity and chemical resistance. The copolymers are suitable for manufacturing high temperature and chemical resistance molded systems and other articles of manufacture via injection molding, extrusion, compression molding, coating, and additive manufacturing.
(FR) L'invention concerne des compositions et des procédés pour des copolymères de poly(aryl éther cétone) semi-cristallins incorporant de la 2-benzimidazolinone et du 4,4'-biphénol en tant qu'unités comonomères avec de la 4,4'-dihalogénobenzophénone, et des compositions et des procédés pour des copolymères de poly(aryl éther cétone) semi-cristallins incorporant de la 2-benzimidazolinone et du 4,4'-biphénol en tant qu'unités comonomères avec du 1,4-bis(4-dihalogénobenzoyl)benzène. Les copolymères présentent des propriétés avantageuses, en particulier en termes de températures de transition vitreuse (Tg) élevées, de températures de fusion (Tm) élevées, de cristallinité et de résistance chimique. Les copolymères sont appropriés pour la fabrication de systèmes moulés à haute température et à résistance chimique et d'autres articles manufacturés par moulage par injection, extrusion, moulage par compression, revêtement et fabrication additive.
