Abstract
(EN) The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). Methods and apparatuses for physical layer beam indications. A method for operating a user equipment (UE) includes receiving one or more first transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for reception and transmission of downlink (DL) channels and uplink (UL) channels, respectively; receiving one or more TCI state identifiers (IDs); and transmitting an acknowledgement in response to the reception of the one or more TCI state IDs. The method further includes, based on the acknowledgement: determining, based on the one or more TCI state IDs, one or more second TCI states; determining a time to apply the one or more second TCI states; and updating one or more spatial filters based on the one or more second TCI states. The method further includes receiving and transmitting data on the DL channel and UL channels, respectively, using the one or more spatial filters starting at the determined time.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un système de communication pré-5e génération (5G) ou 5G, capable de prendre en charge des débits de données supérieurs à ceux d’un système de communication de 4e génération (4G), tel qu'un système LTE (évolution à long terme). L'invention concerne des procédés et des appareils pour des indications de faisceau de couche physique. Un procédé permettant de faire fonctionner un équipement d'utilisateur (UE) comprend la réception d'un ou de plusieurs premiers états d'indicateur de configuration de transmission (TCI) pour la réception et la transmission de canaux de liaison descendante (DL) et de canaux de liaison montante (UL), respectivement ; la réception d'un ou de plusieurs identifiants d'état (ID) de TCI ; et la transmission d'un accusé de réception en réponse à la réception du ou des ID d'état de TCI. Le procédé comprend en outre, en fonction de l'accusé de réception : la détermination, en fonction du ou des ID d'état de TCI, d'un ou de plusieurs deuxièmes états de TCI ; la détermination d'un instant pour l'application du ou des deuxièmes états de TCI ; et la mise à jour d'un ou de plusieurs filtres spatiaux en fonction du ou des deuxièmes états de TCI. Le procédé comprend en outre la réception et la transmission de données sur le canal de DL et des canaux d'UL, respectivement, en utilisant le ou les filtres spatiaux commençant à l'instant déterminé.
