Abstract
(EN) Provided is a sliding component which can stably reduce the frictional resistance of a sliding surface that accompanies eccentric rotation. A sliding component (7) has a sliding surface (7a) which forms an annulus shape that faces a liquid inside and outside, and which slides in relative terms accompanying eccentric rotation. The sliding surface (7a) comprises a land (79) and multiple dynamic pressure generation mechanisms (70) which are provided along the circumferential direction. The dynamic pressure generating mechanisms (70) have a shallow groove part (71) and a deep groove part (72), and in the shallow groove part (71), a linking path (73) is formed which communicates with the deep groove part (72) and which communicates from the deep groove part (72) to the space on either the inside or the outside.
