Abstract
(EN) A method for generating comfort noise is provided. The method includes providing a first set of background noise parameters N1 for at least one audio signal in a first spatial audio coding mode and a second set of background noise parameters N2 for the at least one audio signal in a second spatial audio coding mode. The first spatial audio coding mode is used for active segments; the second spatial audio coding mode is used for inactive segments. The method further includes adapting the first set of background noise parameters N1 to the second spatial audio coding mode, thereby providing a first set of adapted background noise parameters N̂1. The method further includes generating comfort noise parameters by combining N̂1 and N2 over a transition period. The method further includes generating comfort noise based on the comfort noise parameters.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de génération de bruit de confort. Le procédé consiste à fournir un premier ensemble de paramètres de bruit de fond N1 pour au moins un signal audio dans un premier mode de codage audio spatial et un second ensemble de paramètres de bruit de fond N2 pour le ou les signaux audio dans un second mode de codage audio spatial. Le premier mode de codage audio spatial est utilisé pour des segments actifs; le second mode de codage audio spatial est utilisé pour des segments inactifs. Le procédé consiste en outre à adapter le premier ensemble de paramètres de bruit de fond N1 au second mode de codage audio spatial, ce qui permet d'obtenir un premier ensemble de paramètres de bruit de fond adaptés N̂1. Le procédé consiste en outre à générer des paramètres de bruit de confort par combinaison de N̂1 et N2 sur une période de transition. Le procédé consiste en outre à générer un bruit de confort sur la base des paramètres de bruit de confort.
