Abstract
(EN) There is provided a method (200) of controlling a plurality of converter cells (240) in a phase arm of a modular multilevel converter, MMC, in accordance with a main reference (210). The method includes dividing (212) the main reference into a plurality of reference parts (220), and, by using a grouping of the plurality of converter cells into a plurality of groups (250), operating a plurality of modulators in parallel, each modulator controlling a respective one of the groups of converter cells in accordance with one of the reference parts. A phase arm controlled in accordance with such a method is also provided, as well as an MMC including at least one such phase arm, and a converter station including at least one such MMC.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé (200) de commande d'une pluralité de cellules de convertisseur (240) dans un bras de phase d'un convertisseur modulaire multi-niveaux (MMC) conformément à une référence principale (210). Le procédé consiste à diviser (212) la référence principale en une pluralité de parties de référence (220) et, en utilisant un groupement de la pluralité de cellules de convertisseur en une pluralité de groupes (250), à faire fonctionner une pluralité de modulateurs en parallèle, chaque modulateur commandant un groupe respectif des groupes de cellules de convertisseur en fonction de l'une des parties de référence. L'invention concerne également un bras de phase commandé selon un tel procédé, ainsi qu'un MMC comprenant au moins un tel bras de phase et une station de convertisseur comprenant au moins un tel MMC.
