Abstract
(EN) An internal combustion engine emission reduction system comprising a first catalyst element configured for reducing catalytic reactions, a second catalyst element configured for oxidizing or redox catalytic reactions, and configured to direct a portion of exhaust that has been reacted by the first or first and second catalyst elements back through the first catalyst element. The first catalyst element may be configured for oxidation reactions, and the second catalyst element may be configured for reduction reactions. The first catalyst element may be configured for reduction reactions, and the second catalyst element may be configured for oxidation reactions.
