Abstract
(EN) A glass composition is provided that is capable of being ion exchanged to produce high central tension values. The glass composition includes SiO2, Li2O, and CaO. Glass-based articles formed by ion-exchanging glass-based substrates formed from the glass composition are also provided. The glass-based articles are characterized by a maximum central tension of greater than or equal to 150 MPa, and this maximum central tension value may be achieved by ion exchanging in a sodium containing molten salt bath. The glass-based articles may be utilized in consumer electronic devices.
(FR) L'invention concerne une composition de verre qui peut subir un échange d'ions pour produire des valeurs de tension centrale élevées. La composition de verre comprend SiO2, Li2O et CaO. L'invention concerne également des articles à base de verre formés par échange d'ions de substrats à base de verre constitués de la composition de verre. Les articles à base de verre sont caractérisés par une tension centrale maximale supérieure ou égale à 150 MPa, et cette valeur de tension centrale maximale peut être obtenue par échange d'ions dans un bain de sel fondu contenant du sodium.
