Abstract
(EN) The invention provides an automated method for isolating a targeted isotope, the method having the steps of supplying dissolved uranium targets into a first reaction environment; precipitating non-targeted isotope within the first reaction environment transferring liquid phase targeted isotope to a second reaction environment; precipitating the liquid phase targeted isotope in the second reaction environment; dissolving the precipitated targeted isotope; transferring the dissolved targeted isotope to a third reaction environment; and precipitating non-targeted isotope (i.e., iodine), such that the targeted isotope remains in the solution. Also provided is an automated system for isolating isotopes, the system having a plurality of reaction environments adapted to pneumatically receive and disgorge reactants and products via remotely actuated valves positioned between each of the reaction environments.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé automatisé permettant d'isoler un isotope ciblé, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à fournir des cibles d'uranium dissoutes dans un premier environnement réactionnel ; à précipiter un isotope non ciblé dans le premier environnement réactionnel, à transférer un isotope ciblé en phase liquide vers un deuxième environnement réactionnel ; à précipiter l'isotope ciblé en phase liquide dans le deuxième environnement réactionnel ; à dissoudre l'isotope ciblé précipité ; à transférer l'isotope ciblé dissous vers un troisième environnement réactionnel ; et à précipiter un isotope non ciblé (c'est-à-dire de l'iode), de façon à ce que l'isotope ciblé reste dans la solution. L'invention concerne également un système automatisé permettant d'isoler des isotopes, le système comportant une pluralité d'environnements réactionnels conçus pour recevoir et évacuer par voie pneumatique des réactifs et des produits par l'intermédiaire de vannes actionnées à distance positionnées entre chacun des environnements réactionnels.
