Abstract
(EN) This water softening device (1) comprises a water softening tank (3), a neutralizing tank (4), an electrolyzing tank (12), and a control unit (30). The water softening tank (3) softens, with a weakly acidic cation exchange resin (10), raw water containing a hardness component. The neutralizing tank (4) neutralizes, with a weakly basic anion exchange resin (11), the pH of the soft water that has passed through the water softening tank (3). The electrolyzing tank (12) generates: acidic electrolyzed water that regenerates the weakly acidic cation exchange resin (10) of the water softening tank (3); and alkaline electrolyzed water that regenerates the weakly basic anion exchange resin (11) of the neutralizing tank (4). The control unit (30) determines the end of a regeneration process for the weakly acidic cation exchange resin (10) of the water softening tank (3) and for the weakly basic anion exchange resin (11) of the neutralizing tank (4) on the basis of ion concentration information regarding the concentration of a first ion in the acidic electrolyzed water before the same is introduced into the water softening tank (3), and the concentration of a second ion in the acidic electrolyzed water after the same has passed through the water softening tank (3).
