(DE) Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen induktiven Positionssensor zur Messung der Position einer Zahnstange (6) für ein elektromechanisches Lenksystem eines Kraftfahrzeugs, umfassend eine erste Sensoreinheit (9), die von einer ersten Spuleneinheit (10) und einem metallischen Kopplungselement (11) gebildet ist, wobei die erste Spuleneinheit (10) eine erste Erregerspule (12) und eine erste Messspule (13, 14, 15, 16) umfasst, wobei das metallische Kopplungselement (11) gemeinsam mit der Zahnstange (6) gegenüber der ersten Spuleneinheit (10) bewegbar ist, wobei die erste Sensoreinheit (9) dazu ausgebildet ist, ein erstes Signal (17) zu erzeugen, das die Position der Zahnstange (6) gegenüber der ersten Spuleneinheit (10) abbildet, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass eine zweite Sensoreinheit (18) vorgesehen ist, die von einer zweiten Spuleneinheit (19) und dem metallischen Kopplungselement (11) gebildet ist, wobei die zweite Spuleneinheit (19) eine zweite Erregerspule (20) und eine zweite Messspule (21, 22, 23, 24) umfasst, wobei das metallische Kopplungselement (11) gemeinsam mit der Zahnstange (6) gegenüber der zweiten Spuleneinheit (19) bewegbar ist, wobei die zweite Sensoreinheit (18) dazu ausgebildet ist, ein zweites Signal (25) zu erzeugen, das die Position der Zahnstange (6) gegenüber der zweiten Spuleneinheit (19) abbildet.
