Abstract
(EN) A thermal immersion circulator comprising a housing defining a cavity, a heater comprising a heating element, wherein at least a portion of the heating element is located within the cavity of the housing, a coupling assembly securing the heater within the housing, and a seal isolating the coupling assembly from direct contact with the heater. The heater comprises a side surface having longitudinal axis, a fluid inlet in communication with a fluid outlet, and a fluid heating portion located between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The heater also comprises at least one seal located adjacent the outlet and a heating element wrapped at least partially about the fluid heating portion. The heating element comprises a plurality of resistive bands arranged on the tubular side wall such that a first portion of a resistive band adjacent the fluid outlet is longitudinally spaced further from the fluid outlet than an opposing second portion of the resistive band to reduce transfer of heat generated by the resistive band to the seal whilst heating the fluid substantially along a longitudinal length of the fluid heating portion.
(FR) L'invention concerne un circulateur à immersion thermique comprenant un boîtier définissant une cavité, un élément chauffant comprenant un élément chauffant, au moins une partie de l'élément chauffant étant située à l'intérieur de la cavité du boîtier, un ensemble de couplage fixant le dispositif de chauffage à l'intérieur du boîtier, et un joint isolant l'ensemble de couplage de contact direct avec le dispositif de chauffage. Le dispositif de chauffage comprend une surface latérale ayant un axe longitudinal, une entrée de fluide en communication avec une sortie de fluide, et une partie de chauffage de fluide située entre l'entrée de fluide et la sortie de fluide. Le dispositif de chauffage comprend également au moins un joint d'étanchéité situé à proximité de la sortie et un élément chauffant enroulé au moins partiellement autour de la partie de chauffage de fluide. L'élément chauffant comprend une pluralité de bandes résistives disposées sur la paroi latérale tubulaire de telle sorte qu'une première partie d'une bande résistive adjacente à la sortie de fluide est espacée longitudinalement plus loin de la sortie de fluide qu'une seconde partie opposée de la bande résistive pour réduire le transfert de chaleur générée par la bande résistive vers le joint tout en chauffant le fluide sensiblement le long d'une longueur longitudinale de la partie de chauffage de fluide.
