Abstract
(EN) Artificial expression constructs for selectively modulating gene expression in selected central nervous system cell types are described. The artificial expression constructs can be used to selectively express synthetic genes or modify gene expression in inhibitory neocortical GABAergic neurons including somatostatin GABAergic neurons, parvalbumin GABAergic neurons, vasointestinal peptide GABAergic neurons, Lamp5 GABAergic neurons, and in some instances astrocytes.
(FR) L'invention concerne des constructions d'expression artificielles pour moduler sélectivement l'expression génique dans des types sélectionnés de cellules du système nerveux central. Les constructions d'expression artificielles peuvent être utilisées pour exprimer sélectivement des gènes synthétiques ou pour modifier l'expression génique dans des neurones GABAergiques néo-corticaux inhibiteurs comprenant des neurones GABAergiques de somatostatine, des neurones GABAergiques de parvalbumine, des neurones GABAergiques peptidiques vasointestinaux, des neurones GABAergiques de Lamp5, et dans certains cas des astrocytes.
