Abstract
(EN) The invention describes a method for detecting in real time biological agents suspended in the air, which comprises: emitting, towards an air sample, a monochrome polarised light beam having a wavelength corresponding to a maximum absorption of a biological molecule; receiving, at various dispersion angles, the dispersed light beam after it has passed through the sample; determining whether the sample contains particles containing the biological molecules of interest, if the intensity of the dispersed light shows a peak substantially larger than the rest of the dispersed light; estimating the quantity of the biological molecules, according to the amplitude of the peak; and estimating the size of the particles containing the biological molecules, according to the dispersion angle at which the peak was detected. The invention also describes a system for carrying out the method.
(ES) La invención describe un procedimiento para detectar en tiempo real agentes biológicos suspendidos en el aire, que comprende: emitir, en dirección a una muestra de aire, un haz de luz polarizada monocromática cuya longitud de onda corresponde a un máximo de absorción de una molécula biológica; recibir, en diferentes ángulos de dispersión, el haz de luz dispersado tras su paso por la muestra; determinar que en la muestra hay partículas que contienen las moléculas biológicas de interés si la intensidad de la luz dispersada presenta un pico sustancialmente mayor que el resto de la luz dispersada; estimar la cantidad de dichas moléculas biológicas según la amplitud de dicho pico; y estimar el tamaño de las partículas que contienen las moléculas biológicas en función del ángulo de dispersión donde se detectó dicho pico. La invención también describe un sistema para llevar a cabo dicho procedimiento.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé pour détecter en temps réel des agents biologiques en suspension dans l'air, qui consiste à émettre, en direction d'un échantillon d'air, un faisceau de lumière polarisée monochromatique dont la longueur d'onde correspond à un maximum d'absorption d'une molécule biologique; recevoir, avec différents angles de dispersion, le faisceau de lumière dispersé après sa traversée de l'échantillon; déterminer que dans l'échantillon se trouvent des particules qui contiennent les molécules biologiques d'intérêt si l'intensité de la lumière dispersée présente un pic sensiblement supérieur au reste de la lumière dispersée; estimer la quantité desdites molécules biologiques selon l'amplitude dudit pic; et estimer la taille des particules que contiennent les molécules biologiques en fonction de l'angle de dispersion où ledit pic a été détecté. L'invention concerne également un système permettant de mettre en oeuvre ledit procédé.
