Abstract
(EN) Aspects of the present disclosure describe distributed fiber optic sensing (DFOS) systems, methods, and structures that advantageously enable and/or facilitate the continuous monitoring and identification of damaged utility poles by employing a DFOS distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) methodology in conjunction with a finite element analysis and operational modal analysis. Of particular advantage and in further contrast to the prior art, systems, methods, and structures according to aspects of the present disclosure utilize existing optical fiber supported/suspended by the utility poles as a sensing medium for the DFOS / DAS operation.
(FR) Des aspects de la présente invention décrivent des systèmes de détection par fibre optique distribuée (abrégé DFOS de l'anglais « distributed fiber optic sensing »), des procédés et des structures qui permettent avantageusement et/ou facilitent la surveillance continue et l'identification de poteaux électriques endommagés en utilisant une méthodologie de réseau d'antennes distribuées (ou DAS, de l'anglais « distributed acoustic sensing ») à détection par fibre optique distribuée (DFOS) conjointement avec une analyse par éléments finis et une analyse modale opérationnelle. De manière particulièrement avantageuse et contrairement à l'état de la technique, des systèmes, des procédés et des structures selon des aspects de la présente invention utilisent des fibres optiques existantes supportées/suspendues par les poteaux électriques en tant que support de détection pour l'opération DFOS/DAS.
