Abstract
(EN) A method for manufacturing individualized protective gear such as pads based on a body scan, and the resulting pads, are disclosed herein. A body scan is taken of a wearer-defined area for a desired set of pads. The scan is converted to a mesh model. The mesh model is used to define a first surface of the pad shell and then translationally or orthogonally offset to provide a second surface of the pad shell. The mesh is also flattened to provide a liner for the pad. The shell may be manufactured using additive printing technology. The shell and the liner are then attached, such as by adhesive.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un équipement de protection individualisé, tel que des coussinets, sur la base d'un balayage corporel, et sur les coussinets résultants. Un balayage corporel est effectué d'une zone définie par le porteur pour un ensemble souhaité de coussinets. Le balayage est converti en un modèle en treillis. Le modèle en treillis est utilisé pour définir une première surface de la coque de coussinet et ensuite décalé en translation ou orthogonalement pour produire une deuxième surface de la coque de coussinet. Le treillis est également aplati afin de former une doublure pour le coussinet. La coque peut être fabriquée à l'aide de la technologie d'impression additive. La coque et la doublure sont ensuite fixées, par exemple par un adhésif.
