Abstract
(EN) A computer-implemented method of transmitting through a disordered medium from a transmitter to a receiver an image represented as input coherent electromagnetic radiation, the disordered medium having a transmission matrix comprising a plurality of complex-valued transmission constants that relate said input coherent electromagnetic radiation to output electromagnetic radiation at said receiver, which method comprises the steps of: performing a characterising process on said disordered medium to determine said transmission matrix; using said transmitter to transmit said image through said disordered medium; performing a reconstruction process using said transmission matrix to generate a reconstructed image from the output electromagnetic radiation at said receiver; wherein in said characterisation process the step of determining said transmission matrix comprises: determining said complex-valued transmission constants as real-valued transmission constants by using an approximately linear relationship between said input electromagnetic radiation and said output electromagnetic radiation; and using said real-valued transmission constants to generate and store a version of the transmission matrix; and said reconstruction process comprises the steps of: generating an output signal comprising intensity or amplitude values of said output electromagnetic radiation; generating said reconstructed image by combining said output signal and said version of the transmission matrix in a way that effects a matrix multiplication of an inverse of said transmission matrix and said output signal; and outputting said reconstructed image from said receiver.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé mis en œuvre par ordinateur pour transmettre à travers un milieu désordonné, d'un émetteur à un récepteur, une image représentée par un rayonnement électromagnétique cohérent d'entrée, le milieu désordonné ayant une matrice de transmission comprenant une pluralité de constantes de transmission à valeur complexe qui relient ledit rayonnement électromagnétique cohérent d'entrée à un rayonnement électromagnétique de sortie au niveau dudit récepteur, lequel procédé comprend les étapes suivantes exécuter un processus de caractérisation sur ledit support désordonné pour déterminer ladite matrice de transmission ; utiliser ledit émetteur pour transmettre ladite image à travers ledit support désordonné ; exécuter un processus de reconstruction en utilisant ladite matrice de transmission pour générer une image reconstruite à partir du rayonnement électromagnétique de sortie au niveau dudit récepteur ; dans lequel, dans ledit processus de caractérisation, l'étape de détermination de ladite matrice de transmission comprend : déterminer lesdites constantes de transmission à valeur complexe en tant que constantes de transmission à valeur réelle en utilisant une relation approximativement linéaire entre ledit rayonnement électromagnétique d'entrée et ledit rayonnement électromagnétique de sortie ; et utiliser lesdites constantes de transmission à valeur réelle pour générer et stocker une version de la matrice de transmission ; et ledit processus de reconstruction comprend les étapes consistant à : générer un signal de sortie comprenant des valeurs d'intensité ou d'amplitude dudit rayonnement électromagnétique de sortie ; générer ladite image reconstruite en combinant ledit signal de sortie et ladite version de la matrice de transmission d'une manière qui effectue une multiplication matricielle d'un inverse de ladite matrice de transmission et dudit signal de sortie ; et délivrer ladite image reconstruite à partir dudit récepteur.
