Abstract
(EN) The present invention relates to a new in vitro method for direct regeneration of a Cannabis sativa L. plant as well as the use of such method for micropropagation of selected elite clones belonging to Cannabis sativa L., development of polyploid Cannabis plants with enhanced levels of secondary metabolites, promotion of spontaneous rooting of in vitro regenerants in a shorter period of time than conventionally used methods, and production of mutagenized and transgenic or gene-edited Cannabis plants. The method advantageously comprises culturing selected explants lacking already developed meristems such as cotyledons, hypocotyls and/or epicotyls from Cannabis seedlings of short and neutral-day varieties in an appropriate culture medium without plant growth regulators nor chemical microtubule disruptors with a high toxicity grade.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un nouveau procédé in vitro de régénération directe d'un plant de Cannabis sativa L. ainsi que l'utilisation d'un tel procédé pour la micromultiplication de clones d'élite sélectionnés appartenant à Cannabis sativa L., le développement de plants de Cannabis polyploïdes présentant des niveaux améliorés de métabolites secondaires, la promotion de l'enracinement spontané de régénérant in vitro en un laps de temps plus court que les procédés utilisés de façon classique, et la production de plants de Cannabis mutagénisés et transgéniques ou génétiquement édités. Le procédé comprend avantageusement la culture d'explants sélectionnés, dépourvus de méristèmes déjà développés tels que des cotylédons, des hypocotyles et/ou des épicotyles issus de semis de Cannabis de variétés à jours courts et neutres dans un milieu de culture approprié sans régulateurs de croissance de plante ni perturbateurs de microtubules chimiques ayant un degré de toxicité élevé.
