Abstract

The present invention relates to a novel transgenic corn event expressing a truncated or modified form of the insecticidal protein Cry1Da designated event ME240913. The invention relates to the unique nucleic acids for the event ME240913. Primers, the amplicon, methods and kits for detecting the presence of the event ME240913 are also defined. The invention also relates to corn plants containing said event, uses thereof, methods and compositions for controlling lepidopteran insect pests. The invention describes a corn event that showed a high level of plant protection against damage caused by feeding by Lepidoptera, including S. frugirperda, and also insects resistant to Cry1F. The event of the invention was seen to be highly toxic for S. frugirperda.

La présente invention concerne un nouvel événement de maïs transgénique exprimant la protéine insecticide Cry1Da tronquée ou modifiée, appelé événement ME240913. L’invention décrit les acides nucléiques qui sont uniques à l’événement ME240913. Des initiateurs, un amplicon, des procédés et des trousses pour détecter la présence de l’événement ME240913 sont également décrits. L'invention concerne en outre des plantes de maïs contenant ledit événement, des utilisations de celles-ci, des procédés et des compositions de lutte contre les insectes nuisibles lépidoptères. L'invention décrit un événement de maïs qui a démontré un haut niveau de protection de plantes contre les dommages alimentaires produits par Lepidoptera, y compris S. frugirperda, ainsi que des insectes résistants à Cry1F. L’événement de l'invention s’est montré hautement toxique pour S. frugirperda.

A presente invenção se refere a um novo evento de milho transgênico expressando a proteína inseticida Cry1Da truncada ou modificada designado evento ME240913. A invenção relata os ácidos nucléicos que são únicos ao evento ME240913. Também são definidos, iniciadores, amplicon, métodos e kits para detectar a presença do evento ME240913. A invenção também se refere a plantas de milho contendo o referido evento, usos das mesmas, métodos e composições de controle de insetos-pragas lepidópteros. A invenção descreve um evento de milho que demonstrou um alto nível de proteção de plantas contra danos de alimentação produzidos por Lepidoptera, incluindo S. frugirperda, bem como insetos resistentes a Cry1F. O evento da invenção mostrou-se altamente tóxico para S. frugirperda.
