Abstract

(EN) A method of provenance verification comprises providing a plurality of security devices, each security device being provided with a key set comprising: a secret key, and a plurality of shared keys, each shared key being derived by generating a hash of the secret key and a salt value that is specific to a pair consisting of said security device and another of the plurality of security devices. The method also comprises configuring each security device to: generate and/or receive one or more messages; and perform at least one cryptographic operation on the message or messages, and/or on data derived therefrom, using a respective secret key of the security device and/or one of said shared keys.

(FR) Un procédé de vérification de provenance comprend la fourniture d'une pluralité de dispositifs de sécurité, chaque dispositif de sécurité étant pourvu d'un ensemble de clés comprenant : une clé secrète, et une pluralité de clés partagées, chaque clé partagée étant dérivée par génération d'un hachage de la clé secrète et d'une valeur de salage qui est spécifique à une paire constituée dudit dispositif de sécurité et d'un autre dispositif de la pluralité de dispositifs de sécurité. Le procédé comprend également la configuration de chaque dispositif de sécurité pour : générer et/ou recevoir un ou plusieurs messages ; et effectuer au moins une opération cryptographique sur le message ou les messages, et/ou sur des données qui en dérivent, au moyen d'une clé secrète respective du dispositif de sécurité et/ou de l'une desdites clés partagées.
