Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for managing beam failure recovery operations. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) generally includes determining at least one reference signal (RS) associated with a first cell that is configured without a control-resource set (CORESET). The method also includes monitoring the at least one RS associated with the first cell. The method further includes detecting a beam failure on the first cell based on the monitoring of the at least one RS.

La présente invention concerne, selon certains aspects, des techniques pour gérer des opérations de reprise après défaillance suite à une défaillance de faisceau. Un procédé qui peut être réalisé par un équipement utilisateur (UE) comprend généralement la détermination d'au moins un signal de référence (RS) associé à une première cellule qui est configurée sans ensemble commande-ressource (CORESET). Le procédé comprend également la surveillance du ou des RS associés à la première cellule. Le procédé comprend en outre la détection d'une défaillance de faisceau sur la première cellule sur la base de la surveillance du ou des RS.
