A secondary battery according to the present invention is provided with: a battery element which comprises a positive electrode and a negative electrode; an outer case member which internally contains the battery element, while internally having a space where the battery element is not arranged, and which does not have a swage part; and an electrode terminal which is connected to one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode and is arranged so as to be exposed from the outer case member, while being at least partially positioned within the outer case member so that a portion of the part positioned within the outer case member, said portion having the largest diameter, is arranged within a region that overlaps with the above-described space.

Une batterie secondaire selon la présente invention comprend : un élément de batterie qui comprend une électrode positive et une électrode négative ; un élément de boîtier externe qui contient à l'intérieur l'élément de batterie, tout en ayant intérieurement un espace où l'élément de batterie n'est pas agencé, et qui n'a pas de partie de sertissage ; et une borne d'électrode qui est connectée à l'une de l'électrode positive et de l'électrode négative et qui est agencée de façon à être exposée à partir de l'élément de boîtier externe, tout en étant au moins partiellement positionnée à l'intérieur de l'élément de boîtier externe de telle sorte qu'une partie de la partie positionnée à l'intérieur de l'élément de boîtier externe, ladite portion ayant le plus grand diamètre, est disposée à l'intérieur d'une région qui chevauche l'espace décrit ci-dessus.
