Abstract

The present disclosure relates to media streaming and in particular to a media streaming method, program, server and system. A part of media is transmitted from a streaming server to a client and a transfer time is determined for the part of media. The transfer time is compared with the playback duration of the part of media. If the difference between the playback time and the transfer time exceeds a preconfigured value, the bitrate of the media is adjusted.

La présente invention concerne la diffusion en continu de contenu multimédia et, en particulier, un procédé, un programme, un serveur et un système de diffusion en continu de contenu multimédia. Une partie de contenu multimédia est transmise d'un serveur de diffusion en continu à un client et un temps de transfert est déterminé pour la partie de contenu multimédia. Le temps de transfert est comparé à la durée de lecture de la partie de contenu multimédia. Si la différence entre le temps de lecture et le temps de transfert dépasse une valeur préconfigurée, le débit binaire du contenu multimédia est ajusté.
