A driving recorder (1) is provided with an imaging unit (11a), an image processing unit (11), a position information acquisition unit (17a), a communication unit (16), and a functionality control processing unit (17b). The imaging unit (11a) captures an image of the periphery of a vehicle. The image processing unit (11) records an image captured by the imaging unit (11a) on a recording medium (12). The position information acquisition unit (17a) acquires vehicle position information. The communication unit (16) carries out communication of information, including the position information, with a server device (5). The functionality control processing unit (17b) acquires area information pertaining to the area in which the vehicle is located and transmitted from the server device (5) on the basis of the position information, and controls functionality.

L'invention concerne un enregistreur de conduite (1) pourvu d'une unité d'imagerie (11a), d'une unité de traitement d'image (11), d'une unité d'acquisition d'informations de position (17a), d'une unité de communication (16) et d'une unité de traitement de commande de fonctionnalité (17b). L'unité d'imagerie (11a) capture une image de la périphérie d'un véhicule. L'unité de traitement d'image (11) enregistre une image capturée par l'unité d'imagerie (11a) sur un support d'enregistrement (12). L'unité d'acquisition d'informations de position (17a) acquiert des informations de position de véhicule. L'unité de communication (16) réalise une communication d'informations, comprenant les informations de position, avec un dispositif serveur (5).
