The present invention provides a computer-implemented method of planning of the shapes of free-form tool paths (P) for simultaneous two-sided machining of a dental restoration (1) having an individual free-form target geometry from a workpiece (2) by using a dental tool machine (3) comprising at least two tool spindles each having at least one tool (4) arranged on a different side of the workpiece (2) which is simultaneously movable along an axis (y) relative to the tools (4) and thereby imposing a kinematic axis coupling, characterized by further comprising: a step of determining transformations (T´, T´´) of the target geometry by which the kinematic axis coupling is converted into a common coupling parameter for both tools (4); and a step of generating dependent on these transformations (T´, T´´) the shapes of the free-form tool paths (P) in which the common coupling parameter is identical in time for all participating tool spindles that are driven simultaneously.

La présente invention concerne un procédé mis en œuvre par ordinateur de planification des formes de trajectoires d'outils de forme libre (P) pour l'usinage bilatéral simultané d'une restauration dentaire (1) ayant une géométrie cible de forme libre individuelle à partir d'une pièce (2) à l'aide d'une machine-outil dentaire (3) comprenant au moins deux broches d'outil ayant chacune au moins un outil (4) disposé sur un côté différent de la pièce (2) qui est simultanément mobile le long d'un axe (y) par rapport aux outils (4) et ainsi imposer un couplage d'axe cinématique, le procédé étant caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend en outre : une étape consistant à déterminer des transformations (T´, T´´) de la géométrie cible par laquelle le couplage d'axe cinématique est converti en un paramètre de couplage commun pour les deux outils (4) ; et une étape consistant à générer, en fonction de ces transformations (T´, T´´), les formes des trajectoires d'outils de forme libre (P) dans lesquelles le paramètre de couplage commun est identique dans le temps pour toutes les broches d'outil concernées qui sont entraînées simultanément.
