A road traffic flow prediction system for predicting road traffic flows in dependence on data received from a plurality of sensors each configured to acquire road traffic data at a respective traffic location, wherein the system is configured to: receive data from the sensors; implement a machine learning algorithm to learn, in dependence on a timeseries of the received data, a model of a relationship between traffic flow at a first location and traffic flow at other locations at which the sensors are located; and implement the model to predict, in dependence on further data received from the sensors, a timeseries of traffic flow at the first location.

La présente invention concerne un système de prédiction de flux de trafic routier pour prédire des flux de trafic routier en fonction de données reçues en provenance d'une pluralité de capteurs configurés chacun pour acquérir des données de trafic routier à un emplacement de trafic respectif, le système étant configuré pour : recevoir des données en provenance des capteurs ; mettre en œuvre un algorithme d'apprentissage automatique pour apprendre, en fonction d'une série temporelle des données reçues, un modèle d'une relation entre un flux de trafic à un premier emplacement et un flux de trafic à d'autres emplacements auxquels les capteurs sont situés ; et mettre en œuvre le modèle pour prédire, en fonction d'autres données reçues en provenance des capteurs, une série temporelle de flux de trafic au premier emplacement.
