Abstract

A testing system (20) is provided for testing for the presence of a biological substance (22) in a sample liquid (24). The testing system (20) includes a liquid collector (30), which is configured to contain the sample liquid (24); and a testing device (32), which includes a housing (34) that is shaped so as to define a single port (36) for insertion of the liquid collector (30); a plurality of chambers (38) within the housing (34); a heating element (50), disposed to heat at least one of the chambers (38); a growth medium (52), disposed in at least one of the chambers (38); one or more reagents (54), disposed in at least one (40) of the chambers (38); a detection assay (56); one or more actuators (60), disposed within the housing (34); and circuitry (62), configured to perform a test of the sample liquid (24). Other embodiments are also described.
