Method for recovering Cr from a bath for pickling metallic materials (1), the bath (1) being an aqueous solution containing at least one sulphate and Cr from the pickled metal, the method comprising the steps of: - forming an aqueous two-phase system from at least one portion of the pickling bath (1) and a polymer comprising an unhindered ether function, the proportion of polymer in the ternary mixture consisting of the pickling bath, which is considered to be a unique chemical component, water and polymer, being such that it ranges between the line of the equation 'wt % of polymer = 100% - wt % of the pickling bath' and the binodal curve of the pickling bath/polymer mixture, the two-phase aqueous system comprising a polymer phase, in which most of the Cr is located, and a non-polymer phase; - separating the polymer and non-polymer phases; - allowing precipitates containing the Cr to form in the polymer phase; - carrying out solid/liquid separation of the polymer phase so as to separate the polymer and the precipitates containing the Cr; - and processing the precipitates to recover the Cr they contain. Facility for implementing said method.

Procédé de récupération du Cr d'un bain de décapage de matériaux métalliques (1), ledit bain (1) étant une solution aqueuse contenant au moins un sulfate et du Cr provenant du métal décapé : - on forme un système biphasique aqueux à partir d'au moins une portion dudit bain de décapage (1) et d'un polymère comportant une fonction éther non encombrée, la proportion de polymère dans le mélange ternaire constitué par le bain de décapage, que l'on considère comme étant un composant chimique unique, l'eau et le polymère étant telle qu'elle se situe entre la droite d'équation « poids% de polymère = 100% - poids% du bain de décapage » et la courbe binodale du mélange bain de décapage-polymère, ledit système biphasique aqueux comportant une phase polymérique, dans laquelle la majorité du Cr se retrouve, et une phase non-polymérique; - on sépare lesdites phases polymérique et non-polymérique; - on laisse se former dans la phase polymérique des précipités contenant le Cr; - on réalise une séparation solide/liquide sur ladite phase polymérique, de façon à séparer le polymère et les précipités contenant le Cr; - et on traite lesdits précipités pour récupérer le Cr qu'ils contiennent. Installation pour l'exécution de ce procédé.
