The present application discloses a positive electrode active material, a preparation method therefor, a positive electrode plate, a lithium ion secondary battery and a device comprising the lithium ion secondary battery. The positive electrode active material comprises a bulk particle and a coating layer coated on the outer surface of the bulk particle, wherein the bulk particle comprises a lithium composite oxide containing nickel and a doping element, i.e. M 1, and the coating layer comprises a oxide of an M2 element. When the positive electrode active material is in the 11% delithiation state, the average valence of the M1 elements is α1, and the average valence of M2 elements is β1; and when the positive electrode active material is in the 78% delithiation state, the average valence of M1 elements is α2, and the average valence of M2 elements is β 2, where α 21 and β 12. The M 1 element comprises one or more of Si, Ti, Cr, Mo, V, Se, Nb, Ru, Rh, Pd, Sb, Te, Ce and W, and the M 2 element is selected from one or more of Mg, Al, Ca, Zr, Zn, Y and B.

La présente invention concerne une substance active d'électrode positive, son procédé de préparation, une plaque d'électrode positive, un accumulateur lithium-ion et un dispositif comprenant l'accumulateur lithium-ion.
