Apparatus, methods, and systems for detecting alcohol concentrations of an individual, and in particular in vivo alcohol concentrations of an individual. Alcohol sensing compositions include at least one alcohol-responsive active area comprising a concerted enzyme system having at least a first enzyme and second enzyme capable of acting in concert to facilitate the detection of alcohol. At least one of the enzymes in the concerted enzyme system is a ketoreductase.

L'invention concerne un appareil, des procédés et des systèmes permettant de détecter des concentrations en alcool d'un individu, et en particulier des concentrations en alcool in vivo d'un individu. Les compositions de détection d'alcool comprennent au moins une zone active sensible à l'alcool comprenant un système enzymatique concerté ayant au moins une première enzyme et une seconde enzyme capables d'agir de concert pour faciliter la détection d'alcool. Au moins l'une des enzymes dans le système enzymatique concerté est une cétoréductase.
