A reforming reactor and process of using same in which a flow distributor distributes the process gas circumferentially to the reactive zone. Feed is injected into the reactor into a non-reactive zone. The non-reactive zone has two portions, a first portion receiving the feed, and a second portion receiving a purge gas. The purge gas will flow from the second portion to the first portion to prevent flow of the feed from the first portion to the second portion. The combined gas may be passed to a reaction zone for catalytic reforming. The first portion and the second portion may be separated by a flow distributor having two horizontal portions connected to opposite ends of a vertical portion.

L'invention concerne un réacteur de reformage et un processus d'utilisation de celui-ci dans lequel un distributeur d'écoulement distribue le gaz de traitement de manière circonférentielle à la zone réactive. La charge est injectée dans le réacteur dans une zone non-réactive. La zone non-réactive possède deux parties, une première partie recevant la charge et une seconde partie recevant un gaz de purge. Le gaz de purge va s'écouler de la seconde partie vers la première partie pour empêcher un écoulement de la charge de la première partie vers la seconde partie. Le gaz combiné peut être amené à passer à une zone de réaction pour reformage catalytique. La première partie et la seconde partie peuvent être séparées par un distributeur d'écoulement ayant deux parties horizontales reliées à des extrémités opposées d'une partie verticale.
